Artist Statement

My subject matter is a llama named Sparkian, which I created while living in South America. I discovered that in the Inca cosmology,  the llamas were utilized as messengers for various purposes.

Sparkian 's message is one of color, light, and love.  Because I believe that although life can get a bit messy and chaotic, we can still LIVE A BEAUTIFUL LIFE.

I choose to work mainly with acrylics because how fast they dry, and feel it is a perfect metaphor for the times we are living in.  With time passing quickly, each moment and decision allows us to create our life's masterpiece.
